Online Marketing Careers Conference In Delhi (India)
We are doing an Online Marketing careers conference in Delhi in Jan 2008. Around the world, one of the major challenges, Online Marketing industry is facing is the shortage of talented professionals. There are two primary reasons for this scarcity of Online Marketing talent:
• Limited Training Opportunities: The industry being new and dynamic, till today there are limited opportunities for current and budding Online Marketing professionals to train and develop themselves. Moreover, Online Marketing courses are yet to become part of the curriculum at Business Schools
• Lack of Awareness about Career Opportunities: Although Online Marketing industry offers tremendous opportunities for career growth, only a small percentage of people are aware of these opportunities. For instance, recently, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) was quoted as one of the four cutting edge jobs by RHI, world’s leading staffing company.
The proposed conference is going to be one of its kinds in the world and for sure it will be India’s first conference on Online Marketing careers. The conference is aimed to meeting the following objectives:
• Empower Current Online Marketing Professionals in their Careers
• Attract Budding Online Marketing Professionals into OM Industry
We are currently in the process of fixing up the venue, short-listing the speakers, creating agenda and more. Industry organizations such as SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) and TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) have already extended their support. A number of advertising agencies in India are interested in being part of this event.
We are looking forward to your inputs and suggestions about the event. If you an Online Marketing professional or aspire to be part of this fast growing industry, do let us know the topics you would want us to cover at the event. Please write to us at info@omcareers.org.
We will keep you updated on the progress!
